Alien Ant Farm is playing a benefit show on September 18th with P.O.D. in Moreno Valley California @ Moreno Valley College 1-5 pm. It’s in memory of Norma Lopez who was murdered in their home town while walking home from school.

On the heels of 2009’s critically-acclaimed album ‘Oddomatic’, Los Angeles-based rock band eENIK announces a return to the studio with their talons wrapped around a bounty of new tunes. The band also welcomes Alien Ant Farm bassist Tye Zamora, noted for co-production on ‘Oddomatic’, as a collaborator on the upcoming work. ‘These new tracks are drawn from the original inspiration behind our band. These songs are more direct’and doubly fearless.‘ says vocalist Craig Laubach. ‘Our sound is evolving. The focus remains on the craft of songwriting.‘ ‘Dirty Dividends,’ a track currently in production, ‘hails Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and even The Goo Goo Dolls to settle outstanding debts between them and the devil,‘ says Laubach. ‘When we were writing ‘Dirty Divs‘, I imagined casting Tim Curry (‘ la ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’) in a modern-day remake of ‘Faust’. Plus, this Thai food/donut joint that I am known to frequent was selling California lottery tickets that actually featured the Goo Goo Dolls as part of the marketing. Somebody had to do this song.‘ eENIK is performing their new material live at several upcoming Southern California shows. Zamora (often referred to as ‘The Mantis’ on eENIK’s social networking sites) will also be joining the group on stage as an auxiliary performer. ‘We go all they back to ‘98 and Tye has always been involved in eENIK somehow,‘ says bassist Blas. ‘He’s been our fifth Beatle or our Randy Jackson; to finally have him onstage with us is pretty sweet.‘ Zamora comments, ‘This band has been an emotional investment of mine for a long time’ I am happy to have been asked to write new material with a band that I knew was amazing long before everyone else did.‘

eENIK performs live on August 13th at Club Good Hurt in Los Angeles, California.
